a fabulous find

I came across a site today that will be added to my favorites. Take a look at all the goodies at www.oliveandcocoa.com. Look what I found...(hint, hint)

Allons à Paris! Even if your French is a little more "Clouseau" than "Bardot" they will definitely accept your invitation when they receive the charming Let's Go to Paris! crate. Complete with "Yours and Mine" passport holders, a Paris travel notebook, and four French macaron cookies gift wrapped in a hand crafted wood crate with ribbon, all you need to add are the tickets!

you are beautiful

Each year I get the privilege of heading out on a weekend excursion with a wonderful group of women. If you don't have something like this in your life, there's no better time to start. We keep it the same weekend every year, so it's always on the calendar. This July will be our tenth weekend away. I can honestly say, I may have filled a glass of tears from laughing and crying if I kept track. Soaking in the friendship and sun with not much of an agenda is truly living to me. It's what it's all about.  Personally, I have learned how to be a better friend, wife, and mother on these trips. I've also learned, that it's not just me that goes through some hardships. It's a true weekend of therapy in a million little ways. As we aren't getting any younger as these years pass, I only thought it fitting to choose a weekend theme of "You are Beautiful". Some of our festivities include, Hat Day by the pool. The only rule is that you must feel like a Super Star, so dress to your liking. We'll have an accessible full range spa and restaurants at our fingertips. A weekend of photos and many traditions will continue and it can't get here soon enough.

This year we've opened up a Ladies Weekend Getaway Boutique, compliments of cafepress.com. Ah, the joys of technology. And a special thanks to pinterest.com for some of these fluffy photos intertwined that just make me feel good. Here's hoping you are blessed with a fabulous weekend with girlfriends in the very near future. Happy Summer!

for my book club

Joining a book club. One of the best choices I've made in my lifetime. Over the past ten years, we've met every 2nd Sunday of the month and celebrated life. We've laughed, we read multitudes of wonderful stories, conversed over glasses of red wine, we confided in each other, we cried, we've gone on trips and had dinner dates, we've been there to hold each other up during the worst of times, we've celebrated the best of times, and we've been on Oprah (yes, really). To my Saving Graces...I love you.
