security

While we don't have tons of props hanging around the studio, I'll often ask my clients to bring along a certain object that may capture their children at that moment. A soccer ball, a cello, or a favorite blanket at age two, etc.

Life goes by way too fast, and Violet, the purple puppy that was the perfect companion each and every night, should not be forgotten and captured if only for a photo or two.

Most of my favorite photos are the candid images from comfort and security. It's the pacifier or bottle at the end of the session, the two year old little peek from behind their security blanket, or getting caught up in a violin tune in the middle of the grassy field. All of these images have something in common which I hold dear...capturing my object in their own element of sincere comfort and security.
