/I guess it's that time of year again. Back to a regimented schedule and cooler air. (Personally, my favorite time of year.) I usually try and get a little creative to make the back-to-school routine fun for my girls in hopes that it'll bring a little smile to their face in the middle of the day. I thought I'd design a page full of printable lunch notes for you to sneak into your child's lunch box from time to time to share with your kiddos! Any interest in personalizing lunch notes specifically for your own kids? Do you have something you say to them everyday? Do they have a favorite color or sport? winter in august?
/A winter wonderland birthday in the middle of August?...you better believe it. Here at Silverbox we have the Christmas music playing as we design your 2010 holiday cards. So when the request came in for an ice skating party at summer's end, you know we were up for the challenge. These invitations were sent out in a snow globe and box with filler to set the mood of this gold medal invite. Unfortunately, our vendor no longer sells these snow globes. We've since started selling this option of a new globe invitation.
the power of thumbnails

Ah, the power of thumbnail sketches. A dying art if you ask me. This is how we start most jobs, and find a creative energy in pulling our thoughts out on paper. It's back to the basics, and we could never do without them. These thumbnails are the beginnings of our 2010 Holiday Cards that are currently being worked on here at Silverbox. Yep, some of these baby sketches will make it to the end stages, and some won't, but rest-assured you're getting authentic works of art that will greet your friends and family this winter season in style.

We recently had a surprise evening baby shower for a sweet neighbor and thought it only fitting to fill these bags with summer salt water taffy. The shower was complete with yummy goodies from neighbors and a custom baby banner.
silverbox identity
/We just had to design a proposal for an outside job for ourselves and thought I'd grab some quick shots before sending. We design identity for so many of our wonderful clients, but we do it for ourselves once in a while too :) This was packaged in a nice archival box with a paper wrap and fine paper shred, Silverbox samples, and a little bit of love.

I am so lucky to have had my paths crossed with this shining star. Karen has become more than a client, as I find her now as a mentor and friend. Her photography speaks for itself, and we've just been the lucky ones to design her identity around her masterpieces. From newsletters and postcards to blogs and notepads, we've been working on it all. Karen also runs magnificent photography workshops that get rave reviews. We we're honored to design collateral pieces and a website for one talented Millicent Harvey of the Boston area. Her photography and ideas are incredible and her elder stories are astounding.
