a garden-style graduation

Well, it's finally my time to watch a daughter graduate from high school and I'm not quite sure where the time has gone. This past weekend we celebrated Emma's graduation in garden-style and were surrounded by wonderful family and friends on such a lovely day. A huge thank you to all that helped celebrate this sweet occasion. Oh, and by the way, since we get so many requests as to how to make the dress below, here's a video tutorial on how we put together.  (When I put this video together I accidentally put the ribbon through the photo print backwards. You’ll need to put the ribbon through the hole on the photo side when stringing them on, otherwise I think this video should do the trick). We’d love to see your finished product! Good luck! Video Tutorial here.

galveston tray by willow house

I recently bought this classy tray from Willow House and thought I'd place a photo beneath the glass. I used a photo from my daughter's prom, added a quote about friendship, and voila!, the perfect vanity tray graduation gift for any one of these girls. Looking for a personalized gift for the person that has everything? This may be the perfect solution. You send the photo(s) and we'll handle the rest.

Quote on tray...“We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindness there is at last one which makes the heart run over.”

graduation invitations

We'll, it's finally my year as a parent to design a graduation invitation for my own child. How time does fly. We chose to embrace the high school colors, complete with a pocket folio, invitation, rsvp card, and little monogrammed note card. The note card will be sent back with the rsvp which will include encouraging words of wisdom from all friends and family for her journey ahead. Our intention is to hang these little keepsakes from branches via a table arrangement on her celebration day. Silverbox has been designing graduation cards in the past few years and how enjoyable it's been to do this for my own daughter. Enjoy each and every little moment with your children. Time goes by much too fast.

getting carried away...again

A dear friend of mine sent me the Sex and City movie trailer yesterday, and oh how we can't wait for this movie! Well I suppose it's time to put my creative thinking cap on for the a new SATC girl's night out invitation (and quickly). Until then I've decided to post the trailer, and just a few photos from the first movie’s festivities two years ago. Our 2008 event had all the glitz and glam that a girl could want. From a red carpet to cosmos, and name necklace favors to a stretch limo; if it’s worth doing, it's worth over doing. Can't wait to get Carried away once again.
