Today's photo comes from my daughter. Last weekend we sent her to college with teary eyes and a hope that we have given her a strong upbringing to handle life on her own. Within a week, we have become Facebook friends and texted more than ever. Who would have thought that she would see life in it's beauty so quickly with that Nikon. All the best to you Emma and your wonderful talent in capturing moments like this. You make me very proud. Here's wishing your first weekend at college a fun one! And oh yes, University of Delaware Blue Hens won 31-0!

I guess it's that time of year again. Back to a regimented schedule and cooler air. (Personally, my favorite time of year.) I usually try and get a little creative to make the back-to-school routine fun for my girls in hopes that it'll bring a little smile to their face in the middle of the day. I thought I'd design a page full of printable lunch notes for you to sneak into your child's lunch box from time to time to share with your kiddos! Today's post is in honor of my daughter heading off to college this weekend. I surely remember when she was three, and all of a sudden she's leaving tomorrow to start a life of her own. Oh the world that awaits... Here's wishing you a wonderful weekend with your kiddos.

A winter wonderland birthday in the middle of August?...you better believe it. Here at Silverbox we have the Christmas music playing as we design your 2010 holiday cards. So when the request came in for an ice skating party at summer's end, you know we were up for the challenge. These invitations were sent out in a snow globe and box with filler to set the mood of this gold medal invite. Unfortunately, our vendor no longer sells these snow globes. We've since started selling this option of a new globe invitation.

Ah, the power of thumbnail sketches. A dying art if you ask me. This is how we start most jobs, and find a creative energy in pulling our thoughts out on paper. It's back to the basics, and we could never do without them. These thumbnails are the beginnings of our 2010 Holiday Cards that are currently being worked on here at Silverbox. Yep, some of these baby sketches will make it to the end stages, and some won't, but rest-assured you're getting authentic works of art that will greet your friends and family this winter season in style.
