Hee Haw! Our neighbors threw a rootin' tootin' birthday party and thought I'd share pics of the festivities. What a fun day we had at this Hoe Down! From yummy chili, cornbread, corn on the cob, fried chicken and kabobs to smores marshmallow sticks, sweet hamburger and fries dessert and homemade mini pies. Did I forget to mention the apple bobbing and cow tails, root beer bottles and hay bail seating?...and so much more! Everyone was well-behaved with a sheriff in town. A huge thank you to Christen and Tony for a wonderful time! Congratulations on a job well done!

When our eyes see our hands doing the work of our hearts, the circle of Creation is completed inside us, the doors of our souls fly open and love steps forth to heal everything in sight. ~Michael Bridge
Dearest designer friends, have I got an exciting game for you called the Font Game.Ooh, how I love this app!
Each game challenges you to identify 30 fonts, with your final score calculated taking into account your overall time. Although there’s no time limit, the quicker you answer, the more points you’ll score, and the more you’ll impress your friends and family.
With some 600 font specimens from dozens of foundries, you’ll want to play again and again.
In addition to being fantastic fun, the Font Game will introduce you to dozens, perhaps hundreds of fonts you’ve never seen before. With practice you’ll learn to identify even the most obscure typefaces, expanding your typographic repertoire, and training your eye to the often subtle and sometimes not so subtle differences.
We thought we'd answer the top three of our most asked questions about holiday cards and photo sessions.
1. What should we wear to our session?
The only thing we feel strongly about is no prints, large logos, or designs on clothing. Solids really look best for both black & white or color photos. Of course, if you have a beautiful dress for your daughter with a holiday plaid pattern, by all means use it! Colors that compliment each other work best for larger families. It's really all about how you want your photos to look.
Also, if you're wanting a large color print for a room in your house, by all means think about what color your room decor is while deciding on your clothing choice.
2. Can we use our own photos for the holiday cards?
Absolutely! To design with one of your images, we just need the original, high resolution file of the image. You can mail, drop off a CD with images, or email them to orders@silverboxcreative.com. We can also work from non-digital files. Simply provide the photo and we will scan and return the original with the final cards. *Please note: Silverbox will need a copyright release to work with another photographer's image(s).
3. What if it rains?
Did you know that the best photos are taken on cloudy, overcast days? We will have the studio set up for an indoor photo session in the event of a rainy day. If you have your heart set on outdoor photography, we will make every effort to reschedule your shoot.
We’re deeply passionate about what we do and believe the magic lives in the smallest details. At Silverbox, we see ourselves as storytellers here to capture and showcase you in the best light possible.
For over 21 years, we’ve had the joy of working with both social and business clients, creating everything from logos and branding to big events, holiday cards, and photography sessions. Whatever you’re dreaming up, we’re here for it. After all, your ideas are our inspiration.
